Man arrested after 120 pounds of marijuana delivered to Central Florida home
Lake deputies say home served as repackaging, distribution center
A Central Florida man was arrested after, according to deputies, he received 120 pounds of marijuana that was delivered to his home.
Robert L. Jones was arrested on drug trafficking charges and was taken to the Lake County Jail.
According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, a vehicle was stopped in Arizona and officers discovered about 120 pounds of high-grade marijuana, which was destined for Central Florida.
Arizona authorities contacted the Lake County Sheriff's Office and a controlled delivery of the marijuana was conducted to a home on Villa City Road in Groveland, deputies said.
Jones accepted the marijuana and was arrested, deputies said.
Detectives obtained a consent to search the property and located what appears to be a repackaging and distribution location for marijuana, Lake County deputies said. Detectives located about 3 additional pounds of high-grade marijuana, packaging material, log books and about $20,000 in U.S. currency, according to officials.
