Thomas J. Loncala, 47, was arrested on charges of aggravated fleeing and eluding, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and trafficking methamphetamine with a firearm.

According to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, a chase started in Orlando but entered Flagler County around 10:50 p.m.  Loncala drove north on U.S. 1, and deputies used Stop Sticks in an attempt to stop his car, officials said.

Deputies said three tires were deflated, but Loncala drove on the car's rims into St. Johns County.

A deputy then used a pit maneuver, causing Loncala's vehicle to roll onto its roof in a ditch, Flagler County officials said.

Loncala suffered minor injuries and will be booked into the St. Johns County Jail after being released from a hospital.  A woman was a passenger in the car, but she does not face charges.

Deputies said they confiscated nearly $3,400 in cash, a handgun, 5 ounces of crystal meth and 5.8 grams of marijuana.
