TITUSVILLE, Fla. -

A Brevard County man was arrested Monday and charged with video voyeurism after police say he tried to record video up a woman's dress.

Authorities say it happened at the Walmart on Cheney Highway in Titusville in June.

According to arrest documents, a woman said she was shopping when Ramez Awad, 37, got uncomfortably close to her with a shopping basket. Inside the shopping basket was a cellphone recording video up her dress.

The woman then confronted Awad, grabbed his phone and left the store, police said. Since then, authorities were trying to find him.

Two months later, that same woman said she saw Awad shopping inside the same Walmart. She called police and after investigating, they arrested him on video voyeurism charges.

Local 6 went by his Titusville apartment complex Tuesday after Awad posted his $5,000 bond, but he wasn't home.

"In this day and age, people have to be very aware of what people are doing with their smartphones when they're around you," said shopper Stacie Moore.
