Man arrested in Clermont store robbery

Suspect accused of forcing woman into business, stealing cash

CLERMONT, Fla. – A 20-year-old Clermont man was arrested Friday in connection with a Shell gas station robbery that occurred earlier this month.

Marslino Brunson, who was in the Lake County Jail on charges stemming from a pursuit and armed robbery earlier this week, was arrested on armed robbery charges in the June 10 robbery of a Shell station on West Highway 50 in Clermont.

Police said the vehicle associated with the pursuit had been stolen in Clermont the previous night.  Detectives linked Brunson to the incident and charged him with grand theft auto.

Police said detectives also linked Brunson to the Clermont robbery in which he forced a worker into the store as she was opening the business for the day.  He fled after stealing cash from the store register, police said.
