Charles Heineman, 25, was arrested Thursday, said sheriff's spokesman Jeff Williamson, but no other details were immediately released.

Heineman was wanted for attempted robbery with a weapon and aggravated battery in a pepper-spray attack of a woman at the Regal Cinemas in Waterford Lakes. Deputies said Heineman was also a suspect in the two purse-snatching incidents at the East Colonial Walmart.

Detectives say Heineman admitted to all the crimes in interviews. They say he blamed the attacks on a drug problem.

Deputies said Heineman's arrest was sparked by tips from the public. He is being  held at Orange County jail on $15,000 bond.
