Man Arrested In Sanford Double Shooting

2 Taken To Hospital In Serious Condition

SANFORD, Fla. - Police on Wednesday arrested a man in connection with a double shooting in a Sanford neighborhood.


Michael D. Jones, 26, was arrested on a charge of attempted murder in the shootings, which occurred just after 11 p.m. Tuesday on Desoto Drive outside an apartment complex off U.S. 17-92 near a Popeyes restaurant.

Sanford police said the victims were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in serious condition.

An investigation into the shootings is under way, and Jones could face more charges, police said.

No other details were immediately known.
