Man arrested in snake, lizard theft at Casselberry pet store

2nd suspect identified in burlgary at Pet Bazaar

CASSELBERRY, Fla. – Casselberry police have arrested one of the men they say broke into a pet store and stole 10 snakes and two lizards.

Juan Moreno-Hernandez was arrested on Wednesday for the burglary at the Pet Bazaar in Casselberry late Friday night. He is being held at the Seminole County jail on $1,150 bond.

Police said they have identified the second suspect, Jerry Avila, in the case but haven't found and arrested him as of Wednesday morning.

The list of pets stolen include two adult Bearded Dragons, a green male Ghost Ball Python, a Motely Boa, two Spider Ball Pythons, three Striped Kenyan San Boas, a baby Hypo Columbian Boa, a Red Blood Python and a Lesser Ball Python.

Police said the whereabouts of the reptiles are not known.
