WINTER PARK, Fla. – A 30-year-old man was arrested Monday in Orange County on allegations of raping a woman in her apartment last month.
Florentino Apolonio was arrested on charges of sex battery with a weapon, kidnapping, burglary, attempted murder, aggravated battery and aggravated assault.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, an investigation into the attack has been ongoing, and the victim positively identified Apolonio from a lineup on Saturday.
Apolonio was arrested at his home at the Affinity at Winter Park apartment complex. Deputies said he lives one building away from the victim's apartment.
Initial reports say a box cutter was involved in the attack. The woman suffered multiple injuries and was treated at a Florida Hospital emergency room, deputies said. Her current condition is not known.
"This is a dangerous individual that we need to get off the streets," Orange County sheriff's spokesman Angelo Nieves said after the alleged attack.
