PALM BAY, Fla. – A standoff in Palm Bay involving a gunman and a SWAT team ended with the man being taken into custody, police said.
Emmanuel Lopez, 30, was arrested Monday morning, about three hours after the incident began.
According to Palm Bay police, neighbors reported a disturbance at a home on Medea Avenue involving a man and woman.
Police said after nearly three hours, the SWAT team sent a robot into the rear of the house through a glass door and the man surrendered.
The woman was being evaluated by medical personnel, but the extent of her injuries was not known.
No other details have been released.
