Man beat wife with baseball bat, Clermont police say

Authorities say wife sent to hospital with internal bleeding

CLERMONT, Fla. – Clermont police arrested a man after they say he beat his wife with a baseball bat, sending her to the hospital with internal bleeding.

Flint Hart, 41, has been charged with aggravated battery after police say he hit his wife with a bat several times at their home on 12th Street on Tuesday. Hart was located and arrested on Thursday night.

It's not clear what sparked the fight.

Hart was taken to the Lake County jail and Department of Children and families has been notified.

The investigation is ongoing.
