ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police say a man was beaten and robbed while trying to help a woman who looked distressed.
Police said the victim pulled up to the Best Western on East Colonial Drive near State Road 417 overnight and stopped when the woman called for help.

The man was then attacked from behind by two men with a pistol and a shotgun, beaten and robbed.
Police said the woman jumped into the assailants' car and drove off.
The victim was able to get up to the front of the hotel to call 911.
Investigators said they are hoping surveillance video and any witnesses can help find the assailants.
