According to Rockledge police, officers were called around 6 p.m. about the attack and found a 57-year-old woman badly beaten and bloodied.

The woman told police that Youngman beat her head and face, slammed her head on the garage floor, stuffed her in the trunk of his vehicle and said he was going to kill her.

According to police, the woman also said Youngman began to drive off while she was in the trunk but stopped to confiscate her cellphone.

Youngman then dragged his stepmother out of the trunk by her hair and continued beating her, police said.

The woman eventually escaped and ran to a neighbor's house, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital, but her condition was not released.

Youngman returned home later and was taken to the Brevard County Jail.
