Man carjacked women at Perkins, Orange City police say

Victims held at gunpoint outside of restaurant

ORANGE CITY, Fla. – Orange City police arrested a man who they say carjacked two women in a Perkins parking lot on Wednesday.

Seif A. Khan, 19, was charged with carjacking with a firearm and probation violation. 

Police said Khan walked up to the women Wednesday just before 11:30 p.m. and asked if the restaurant was closed. When they said no, Khan pulled out a gun from his waistband and demanded the victim's purse and car keys. 

Khan then handed the purse back to the victim, got in her vehicle and drove away, according to the report.

Police said Khan was found by police driving on Woodland Boulevard near State Road 472. 

He was arrested and booked into Volusia County jail. He is being held on no bond due being on probation for felony battery charges.
