WEST MELBOURNE, Fla. -

A residential burglary in Palm Bay turned into a high-speed chase through southern Brevard County.

Police say the victim's neighbor called 911 to report a burglary in progress around 1 p.m. Tuesday. After calling authorities, the neighbor called the victim to tell him that two people, a man and a woman, were putting televisions into the back of a black truck.

The victim's son, Jay Kinaszczuk, says that he spotted the suspect's vehicle on Palm Bay Road and began following them at a high rate of speed.

"I called 911. I was on the phone with them the whole time saying that 'they're robbing me they're robbing me,'" said Kinaszczuk. "I'm chasing them they're running red lights. They're on the opposite side of the road, I'm screaming that they're on the opposite side of the road and then I yelled they just got into a wreck outside of West Melbourne PD."

The suspect's car eventually crashed into a box truck at the corner of Henry Avenue and Minton Road, right in front of the West Melbourne Police Department.

After the crash, police say Kinaszc started a physical altercation between the male suspect, identified as Mark Daly, eventually ending with Daly being detained.

Police say that the female suspect, identified as Crystal Kinaszczuk, the victim's daughter, fled after the accident north on Henry Avenue, eventually getting taken down by a police K-9.

Both suspects were taken to hospital for minor injuries and will be booked into jail.
