Man dressed for beach robs Orlando gas station

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police are seeking the community's help to get crime results after detectives say a man dressed for the beach robbed a gas station near the tourist district Friday morning.

The robbery happened around 6:25 a.m. at the 7-Eleven, at 7250 S. Kirkman Road.

News 6 obtained surveillance video of the armed robbery. It shows two clerks standing behind the desk when the armed suspect walks in and pulls out a gun.

Detectives say the suspect demanded money. The clerks opened both cash registers and handed over an unknown amount of cash.

Police say the suspect then ran out of the store and got into a red two-door vehicle.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The store was open Friday afternoon. Customers told News 6 they couldn't believe something like this happened at the gas station.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male wearing a light colored hoodie, a camouflage bandana around his face, bright colored swim trunks and boat shoes.
