A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing U.S. Highway 1 on Wednesday night.
The driver of the vehicle, Jack Perry, 66, remained at the scene of the crash until police arrived. The pedestrian, a male in his 40s, was airlifted to Halifax Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries from the crash, police said.
According to police, Perry did not exhibit any signs of impairment when police arrived at the scene.
The pedestrian has yet to be identified and the crash is still under investigation.
