BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. - The man accused of killing a Brevard County deputy was in court on Thursday to argue more than 40 motions against the death penalty.
Brandon Bradley is accused of gunning down Deputy Barbara Pill during a traffic stop in March 2012.
Bradley's attorney also fought to limit the police presence in court so the jury will feel less susceptible to the impression of the officers and to move the trial to a different county.
Bradley's girlfriend, Andria Kerchner, will be back in court next week where she is expecting to take a plea deal in exchange for testifying against Bradley. Kerchner was the passenger in the car when Bradley was pulled over by Pill.
Bradely's trial is expected to begin in March.
