Man poured gas on side of home, swung ax at victim, Osceola County deputies say

Registered felon Joshua Cullen had two lighters, deputies say

ST. CLOUD, Fla. – A man accused of pouring gasoline on the side of a home and swinging an ax at a victim during an incident has been arrested, the Osceola County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies responded around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday to the 700 block of Robinson Avenue in St. Cloud for an armed disturbance.

The Sheriff's Office said deputies spoke with the victims who said they were in the home when they saw Joshua Cullen, 31, pouring gasoline on the side of the home.

When the victims asked Cullen what he was doing, he told them he was going to make his ex-girlfriend, who was in the home, come outside, deputies said.

Cullen then became involved in a verbal altercation with one of the victims before leaving. Deputies said he returned to the home with an ax and swung it at a victim, who was able to get the weapon away from Cullen.

Cullen fled the area, but deputies were able to find him on Robinson Avenue. Deputies said Cullen, who had two lighters in his possession, was taken into custody.

Cullen, who is a registered felon, was arrested on charges including aggravated stalking, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and attempted arson, deputies said He was booked into the Osceola County Jail.
