Teen shot after being pulled out of vehicle, sheriff's office says

Victim in stable condition

OCALA, Fla. – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a teenager was shot after he was pulled out of his car early Monday morning.

The 17-year-old victim told deputies that after he was shot, he ran away and began calling out for help.

People nearby heard his plea and called 911.

The incident was reported at Ralph Russell Memorial Park at 1690 Pine Road in Ocala.

The victim is hospitalized in stable condition.
