Man robbed late at night at Bank of America ATM

ORLANDO, Fla. – Deputies released ATM security images hoping to catch the masked suspect from a late-night robbery where the victim was attacked and carjacked.

The attack happened just before midnight at the Bank of America at 2051 Central Florida Parkway, said deputies.

According to a news release issued by the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the victim was at the walk-up ATM with his back turned, allowing the robber to sneak up behind him.

Deputies said the victim only had minor injuries.

"I work late and come in at the nighttime to deposit money, withdrawal money," said Kevin Mansoor. "I never hear of anything happening like that before."

Mansoor was banking at the ATM Wednesday evening with his backed turned, just like the victim. After the robbery, deputies said the suspect carjacked the victim's SUV, which makes Mansoor think twice about leaving his car running, unattended while he uses the ATM.

"You're not secure anywhere," said Mansoor. "I'm going to look around more, I guess, and try to come in at a better time, daylight time."

"Its crazy," said Rashel Pond, who heard about the late-night ATM attack, and because she has to bank at night, she took steps to stay safe, including using the drive-through ATM instead of the walk-up machine. "I watch my surroundings. I don't get out."

Anyone with any information on this incident is asked to call the Orange county Sheriff's Office.
