Groveland police search for man who exposed self to girl walking to school

Girl was walking to South Lake High School, cops say

GROVELAND, Fla. – Groveland police released a composite sketch on Thursday in the search for a man who they say exposed himself to a girl walking to school earlier this month.

Police said the girl was walking to South Lake High School on a sidewalk in the Cranes Landing subdivision on the morning of Sept. 13 when the man approached her and asked her what time it was.

The girl told him the time and continued walking to school, but the man began to walk behind her and started mumbling things, according to police.

Police said when the girl turned around, the man had his pants pulled down and was touching himself inappropriately.

The man ran off when he saw another person walking on the sidewalk, according to police.
