Man sought after pursuit involving stolen vehicle linked to death, Orlando police say

Police: Timothy Dortch Jr., 24, possibly in Orange County area

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man is being sought and three juveniles have been arrested after a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle linked to a death, Orlando police said.

Police arrived at a crash that occurred during the pursuit of a stolen vehicle reported out of Lee County in connection with the search for Timothy Dortch Jr., 24, a suspect in a death, police said.

At 6:51 p.m., patrol units spotted the vehicle that had fled from them a short distance away before losing control and crashing into the rear end of another vehicle on John Young Parkway near Silver Star Road.

Police said three juveniles fled from the vehicle but were caught. One of the three youths suffered an injury to his wrist and was taken to a hospital for medical attention.

Police said Dortch was not one of the three apprehended.

Dortch is still at large and possibly in the Orange County area, police said.

The people who were inside the vehicle struck by the suspect vehicle were not hurt, police said.

North and South John Young Parkway was closed at Silver Star Road while police investigated.
