Man sought after touching himself in front of 16-year-old, Osceola cops say

Deputies investigate suspicious incident in Kissimmee

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Osceola County deputies are searching for a man who they say inappropriately touched himself in front of a 16-year-old who was walking to a Lynx bus stop.

The incident was reported on Monday just before 6:30 p.m. on Secret Lake Drive when the teen's mother called 911.

"Did he put the window down, or did he get out?" asked the dispatcher.

"He pulled down the window," said the girl's mother.  "She saw that he left, and then he appeared to have made a u-turn and go back down towards Secret Lake Drive."

Deputies said the victim was walking to the bus stop on 192 at Secret Lake Drive in Kissimmee when she saw a vehicle drive by a and pull over on the right shoulder of the road.

The victim hid in some bushes nearby because she was hesitant to approach the vehicle, according to a release from Osceola County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the man then drove up on her left side and asked where the closest gas station was.

When the girl started to answer, she noticed that the man was partially dressed and began inappropriately touching himself, according to deputies.

The victim took a photo of his vehicle, which was described by deputies as a silver, four-door, possibly a Toyota, vehicle with a black stripe on both sides and a rope or elastic cord securing the trunk.

The victim described the culprit as a Hispanic male in his late 20s or early 30s with a medium build and complexion, short dark hair and some facial hair.

Neighbors told News 6 children walk alone along Secret Lake Drive all the time because it's a short side street only a half mile long, connecting the resorts and apartments at one end to the shops and restaurants at the other end.

"You never even know," said Lyann Valez. "They were probably watching the street and all these kids and all these beautiful girls walking down these streets, you never know."

"So he was just parked there like a freak," said Valez. "It's just nasty, it's just nasty. It gets me mad and at the same time gets me scared."

News 6 asked deputies if this crime is connected to other recent incidents in the area where men exposed themselves to children and deputies said no.
