Man sought in death of musician Khamelien

Damien Rahim found dead at motel near Disney World

DAVENPORT, Fla. – A 26-year-old man is wanted in the death of an Orlando musician who was found dead over the weekend at a Davenport motel, about 20 miles southwest of Walt Disney World.

Polk County sheriff's investigators issued a warrant for Calvin Jones, who is wanted in the death of 37-year-old Damien Rahim, whose stage name is Khamelien.

Rahim was found dead in his car outside a Days Inn motel in Davenport.  A motive is not known, but the warrant issued for Jones includes murder and robbery charges.

Investigators released surveillance video of the Days Inn parking lot showing a car that may belong to Jones or a witness.

Friends of Rahim held a vigil Sunday night outside the J&G Sprots Bar near Millenia Mall for the reggae and hip-hop artist who played at Universal CityWalk in Orlando and the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa.

"It's a tragedy, I mean a lot of us are just devastated over this," said producer Matt Nawada. "He really believed that he could reach people and heal any type of internal problems they have."

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said Jones, who has been arrested several times on resisting an officer, battery and drug charges, should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about Jones' whereabouts or Rahim's death is urged to call the Sheriff's Office at 863-298-6200.
