Victim pronounced dead at ORMC

OCOEE, Fla. – A pedestrian was hit and killed by two drivers along Bluford Avenue, right near Colonial Drive in Ocoee Thursday night.

Investigators said the man was killed after trying to walk across the middle of the road and was hit by two drivers.

An investigator with the Ocoee Traffic Homicide Unit told Local 6 that a male driver in a white SUV hit the pedestrian first and then another car behind it also hit the man, causing severe head injuries.

The pedestrian was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where authorities said he died.

Police said the pedestrian was wearing all black and both drivers told police they didn't see the man coming. Both drivers are cooperating and it's not clear if they will be facing any charges.

Bluford Avenue was closed to traffic between Ocoee Commerce Parkway and W. Colonial Dr. as authorities investigated the crash.
