Man struck, killed while crossing Orlando roadway

FHP investigates fatal crash

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 55-year-old Orlando man crossing a road was struck by a car and killed early Friday in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a Toyota Camry was traveling south on Goldenrod Road near State Road 408 when the man, whose name has not been released, walked into the path of the vehicle and was hit.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Camry, a 22-year-old Orlando man, suffered minor injuries, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation, and the FHP has yet to determine if the driver faces charges.
