Man tried to hit brother with pickup truck, Lake County deputies say

LADY LAKE, Fla. – A man was charged after driving a pickup truck into his brother's house in an attempt to hit him, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

A call was received around 7 p.m. Monday about a vehicle that had driven through a neighbor's home in the 1000 block of Aloha Way in Lady Lake.

A deputy encountered a man who said he had gone out into his driveway and saw his brother, Brian Krajewski, striking his girlfriend as they were both sitting in a pickup truck, according to the arrest affidavit.

The man approached the driver's side door and told Krajewski to stop hitting his girlfriend, but Krajewski continued hitting her, deputies said.

The brother then punched Krajewski in the face and knocked him out. Deputies said when Krajewski came to, he began cursing at his brother.

The brother went into the home, at which time he heard the pickup's engine rev. Deputies said when the brother looked back, Krajewski was driving straight toward him in the pickup truck.

Krajewski drove through the door and into a bedroom area, missing his brother by 6 inches, according to the arrest affidavit. Krajewski then fled with his girlfriend in the passenger seat.

The pickup truck was found at 2 a.m. in the parking lot of a Sleep Inn in Leesburg, deputies said. Krajewski was found by the pool and was taken into custody. Deputies said he was charged with aggravated assault with a motor vehicle domestic and felony battery domestic.
