The FHP said three vehicles were traveling west on State Road 528 near mile marker 37 when a Cadillac SRX drove onto the shoulder, causing the vehicle to rotate, strike a guardrail and overturn.

Both the driver and passenger were ejected in the crash, and the other two vehicles then struck McCree, troopers said.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was taken to Holmes Hospital Melbourne, where she later died, troopers said.

One of the other drivers stopped and won't face charges, said the FHP, which added that the other driver fled the scene.

FHP said it is looking for possibly a 1998-2001 Nissan Altima with damage to the right front fender or might be missing the fender liner. Contact Cpl. Michael Bonner at 321-690-6413 if you have information on the vehicle.
