OCALA, Fla. -

A missing 80-year-old Marion County man has been found safe in Manatee County.

Pablo Jose Gonzalez who had last been seen around 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Walmart at 9570 Highway 200 in Ocala and was driving a blue 2006 GMC truck with the tag ADGQ60.

Marion County deputies said a store clerk at a Circle K in Manatee County noticed that Gonzalez was disoriented and helped him call his wife. The Manatee County Sheriff's Office helped return him home safely, deputies said.

According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, Gonzalez's wife said earlier that he had not returned home and his bank card had been used in Sumter County.  She said Gonzalez called her, saying that he had run out of gas and a Florida Highway Patrol trooper took him to a gas station.

Officials said Gonzalez is believed to have visited a Shell gas station in Temple Terrace, near Tampa, and had purchased about $3 in gas.
