MAITLAND, Fla. - Officials on Friday released a 911 call placed by a clerk after two masked gunmen robbed a Maitland hotel.

The armed robbery happened early Thursday at the Courtyard by Marriott on Pembrook Drive near the RDV Sports complex and a mile away from the Maitland Police Department.
The 45-year-old clerk, who was frantic, called 911 to report the robbery, and the dispatcher constantly told her to slow her breathing in an effort to gather information about the crime.
According to Maitland police, the gunmen entered the lobby of the hotel and tried to lock the clerk in the laundry room before stealing an unknown amount of money.
The thieves stole cash from the business and money from the clerk's purse, according to police, who believe the crime could be linked to a string of hotel robberies.
The assailants also smashed the clerk's cell phone and the phone at the front desk before running away.
The clerk, who called 911 from a back office, was not injured.
"I need police," she said. "I was just robbed."
No one else was in the lobby at the time of the robbery, police said.
Police believe the criminals may be linked to a string of hotel robberies.
In the past month, several hotels have been robbed in Central Florida, including six in Orlando, one in Altamonte Springs and another in Lake Mary.
