A 22-year-old man was pistol-whipped, shot and robbed of his shorts late Wednesday in Leesburg, according to police.
According to Leesburg police, the man was sitting in a vehicle at Berry Park around 10:30 p.m. when they were approached by two men wearing masks. The victim said he was struck with a gun and shot in the right arm by one of the assailants, who stole his wallet, shorts and shoes, according to police.
The victim told police he was able to drive to a home on Tuskegee Street and call 911.
The woman was not injured.
Officers searched the area with K-9s but no one was located, police said.
The victim was taken to Leesburg Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, including visible wounds to his head, face and arm. He was later taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
