Masked gunmen tie up man, 61, in home invasion

Orange County deputies search for intruders

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 61-year-old man was pistol-whipped, beaten, tied up and robbed by two masked gunmen in an Orange County home invasion.

The robbery happened around 11:50 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 200 block of Lavender Court in Orlando, just north of State Road 408.

According to Orange County sheriff's deputies, the man was asleep and alone inside his home when two gunmen broke into his house.

Deputies said the assailants pistol-whipped the man, bound his hands and feet and robbed him.

The man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies said the gunmen fled the area after the robbery.

The man lives with two roommates who returned home after the home invasion.
