Masked man robs Ocala gas station at gunpoint

Assailant forces clerk to get on floor

OCALA, Fla. – A masked gunman wearing all black clothing robbed an Ocala gas station early Friday.

The robbery happened around 5:30 a.m. at the Martin Oil at 1517 Southwest 10th Street.

According to Ocala police, a man wearing a ski mask, hooded sweatshirt and pants walked into the store, pointed a gun at the clerk and said, "Give me everything!"

The clerk gave the gunman a cardboard box with cash and money from the cash register, police said.

The assailant then ordered the clerk to get on the ground and fled.

Surveillance video shows that the robbery took about 24 seconds.

The armed robber was described as about 6 feet tall with a skinny build.
