ORLANDO, Fla. – The growing fan base of Orlando's newest professional sporting team is catching the attention of Mayor Buddy Dyer.
Dyer will head to Kansas City this week to attend a Major League Soccer match and investigate stadium options for Orlando.

The Orlando City Soccer Club has been growing in popularity since its debut here two seasons ago.
The club includes a professional team, the Lion's, as well as a youth club. The professional squad, which plays at the Citrus Bowl, has won two regular season titles and one postseason championship.
"Orlando City Soccer Club has given our community an opportunity to enjoy this international sport," said Dyer, in an email message. "Our community's soccer enthusiasts have quickly become loyal fans."
The club's president, Phil Rawlins will join Dyer on the trip to Kansas City where they will tour facilities from Wednesday through Friday, including Livestrong Sporting Park, Sporting Kansas City's multi-purpose stadium.
Dyer and Rawlins will watch Sporting Kansas City take on the Houston Dynamo on Friday night.
Orlando City's ownership has taken many trips to explore other stadiums including Houston's BBVA Compass Stadium and previous trips to Portland, Seattle and Vancouver.
