McDonald's workers forced into freezer during armed robbery in Orlando

Money stolen from safe, deputies say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Employees of a McDonald's in Orlando were forced into a freezer early Monday during an armed robbery, according to deputies.

The robbery occurred around 4 a.m. at the McDonald's at 8060 S. Orange Avenue.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt walked into the restaurant and ordered all the workers into the freezer.

The man then stole money from the restaurant safe and took off, deputies said.

The employees called 911 from inside the freezer, according to deputies.

No other details were released.
