Melbourne man, 89, killed in wrong-direction car crash

Viera Boulevard to be shut down while FHP investigates

ROCKLEDGE, Fla. – An 89-year-old Melbourne man who was driving on the wrong side of the road was killed in a crash Friday morning in Rockledge.

Florida Highway Patrol officials said Bill Fisk was traveling west in an eastbound lane of Viera Boulevard around 7:55 a.m. when his car collided head-on with another car traveling in the proper direction.

A third was also involved in the crash.

Fisk died after being transported to a hospital, troopers said.

The drivers of the other two cars were also transported to Viera Hospital with minor injuries, according to the FHP.

The eastbound lanes of Viera Boulevard were closed while troopers investigated the crash.
