MELBOURNE, Fla. – Melbourne police are searching for the person who shot a man several times overnight.
The shooting occurred on the 200 block of Olympic way, near Palm Bay High School, early Wednesday morning.

Police said they found the man with multiple gunshot wounds to his leg and hand. He was taken to Halifax Regional Medical Center for treatment and is in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
