Men wanted in attempted carjacking caught on surveillance video

Homeowner turns footage over to authorities

APOPKA, Fla. – A homeowner in Apopka said on Tuesday that law enforcement believes his surveillance cameras captured attempted-carjacking suspects.

Jeremy Michael lives near Wekiva Pines Boulevard and said that at about 2:40 p.m. Monday, he saw several patrol vehicles driving past his house.

Curious as to what happened, Michael said he walked up the street and was told by law enforcement that two males approached a woman at gunpoint as she pulled into her driveway. The two suspects attempted to get away in the vehicle, but instead ran away on foot.

Michael's surveillance video also shows a detective asking for his video because someone was "robbed at gunpoint." He said investigators think the two males seen walking past his house are the suspects.

Apopka police said one suspect is in custody for the attempted carjacking, but won't release any more details.
