Police said Lauren Rowe and Landyn Josiah Rowe were in the company of 69-year-old Carneva Harrison Ashley, who is the great-grandmother of the children.

Ocala police said they received a call from the childrens' mother saying that Ashley and her two great-grandchildren arrived in Miami safe and sound.

According to Ocala police, Ashley and her great-grandchildren left Miami on Wednesday morning with the intention of going to Calhoun in the Florida Panhandle to pick up a relative from the Department of Corrections.

Police said the trio stopped in Ocala and stayed the night with a relative and, due to a change in plans, the trip to Calhoun was canceled.

The trio headed back to Miami on Thursday around 10 a.m., but were not seen or heard from until Friday, police said.
