ORLANDO, Fla. -

Deputies say two North Carolina girls who have been missing for weeks are believed to be in the Central Florida area.

The girls, 7-year-old Hailey Shaw and 9-year-old Hannah Shaw, were picked up from school by their mother despite the fact that a court had granted custody to their father. An unknown man is also thought to be with them, investigators say.

Police say the foursome may traveling in a 2001 Volkswagen Passat in Orlando.

Anyone with information about the girls' whereabouts is urged to call 911.
