Missing tubers on Little Wekiva River found

No injuries after 6 people become separated from group

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Six people who became separated from a group floating down the Little Wekiva River have been found, Seminole County Fire Rescue personnel said.

The group of 17 people were floating down the river when six became separated from the group. They got lost around 6:20 p.m. Saturday.

Officials said three people were found by a private boater, and three others walked through the woods until they reached Highway 434. They were all found just after 9 p.m.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Seminole County Fire Rescue and the Seminole County Sheriff's Office assisted in the search, officials said.

No injuries were reported.
