ORLANDO, Fla. – A woman who vanished after telling friends that she was going on a date has been found safe in Volusia County, deputies said.
Theresa Hawley, 28, who had last been seen on May 12 was found Sunday in the parking lot of a Kangaroo Express gas station on Beall Boulevard and Dirksen Drive in DeBary.

Volusia County deputies said Hawley has given varying stories about being dropped off at the intersection. She was alert and appeared to be in good health, deputies said.
Orlando police said last week that Hawley disappeared after telling a friend that she was going on a date. Police said Hawley did not provide any details about who she was meeting or where she was headed.
An investigation is ongoing.
