SANFORD, Fla. – A 24-year-old mother was arrested after her five children -- ages 1 to 7 -- were found home alone in Sanford.
Sheila Ramos was arrested over the weekend on charges of child abuse.

According to police, a security guard called for help after noticing the children by themselves at an apartment on Petunia Terrace near State Road 46 in Sanford.
Police said officers found one of the kids running around with a butter knife while another child was vomiting.
Ramos arrived at the home about 90 minutes later, but told officers that she had been gone for about 5 minutes.
Ramos was arrested and taken to jail. She was later released after posting bond.
