Mother found stabbed to death in Orlando home

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police arrested a man they say stabbed a woman to death Friday afternoon.

Police said they were called to the 1100 block of Fremont Park Avenue in Orlando just before 3:30 p.m.

A female victim, later identified as 43-year-old Yadira Smith, was found stabbed to death in her home.

Police said her boyfriend, Robinson Hedgehill was the man that stabbed Smith to death and they issued an arrest warrant for him.

Police said Hedgehill was found on Saturday at West Washington Street and Coburn Avenue and taken to the Orange County Jail.

Police said Smith had recently moved to Orlando from New York.

Yvonne Miller says she lives across the street from the victim, and saw her on Friday morning.

"She just waved to me, said good morning, I say good morning- she went her way- I went my way as normal," she said.

No other details were immediately available.
