Beachgoers found the naked body late Friday off State Road A1A near 13th Street.

The Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide but did not release information about where or how many times the man had been shot.  The Sheriff's Office said there appeared to have been trauma to the man's head.

The victim was wearing no clothing or jewelry and  identifying marks when he was found but did have his teeth, and dental records may help identify the man, authorities said.

The Sheriff's Office has received tips since releasing details about the body washing ashore, but nothing has helped investigators identify the man.

The man was believed to be in his 50s, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and 150 pounds. He had brown eyes and gray-tinged hair.

Anyone with information about the man is asked to call 386-517-2023.
