Naked burglar sought in Seminole County, police say

Longwood police: Juvenile victim wakes up to naked man in house

LONGWOOD, Fla. – Longwood police are searching for a man they say broke into a home while naked and tried to burglarize it.

Ashely Holt, 17, said she woke up because her bedroom door was opened and the hallway light shined in. She said that's when she saw the naked man in the doorway of her room.

"I sat there for a second and looked at the door and all of a sudden I see a naked guy," she said.

Once confronted, the man ran out of the home, according to police.

Police described the man as a heavyset white male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with thinning hair.

Holt said she had never seen the man before, and her mother said the man must have been smart. She said he removed the screens from the back of her home and stacked them neatly, and he knew where to run out when he left.

Since the incident on July 1, Holt said she's had a difficult time sleeping and she's been sleeping with her mother.

"I hate sleeping in my room," she said. "I can't sleep in my own room."

Anyone with any information on the burglary is asked to contact the Longwood Police Department at 407-260-3400.
