Senator's children could be cut off for out-of-wedlock births

Salon cites court documents

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisconsin, has made it difficult for his children to have more than one unplanned birth, Salon.com reported.

The senator strong opposes abortion, the website said.

Salon cited court documents that showed the senator had set up a trust for his three children -- two daughters and a son -- in 1997.

Johnson has an estimated net worth of $17 million, Salon reported.

The trust said the children could be cut off in two cases: demonstrating egregious criminal behavior or having “more than one child” without being married, Salon said.
