New app to show locations of security camera

Locations to be accumulated through crowdsourcing

If you've ever had the feeling you're being watched, there's a new app you're going to love.

According to Mashable, the app is called 'Surv.' It will combine user input and technology to create maps with detailed descriptions of locations and types of surveillance cameras.

Surv was created by Kaza Razat and Khalid Mills, who are former video game developers. They said they wanted to create this app after they realized how little information law enforcement has about where all security cameras are.

The app has a small, trusted user base that will tell the app where they find cameras. Everything will be mapped out.

There's also a leader-board; the more you contribute, the more functions you can unlock in the app.

Razat said the goal isn't to help criminals find camera locations, but rather, to become the most comprehensive database to assist law enforcement.

Right now, it's just based in New York City and is available on iOS in a closed beta version.
