Ihu's Breakaway Falls billed as steepest, tallest water slide

ORLANDO, Fla. – SeaWorld's Aquatica water park is set to unveil its newest attraction on Friday, just in time for the summer travel season.

Billed as the tallest and steepest water slide in Central Florida, Ihu's Breakaway Falls is already attracting a lot of attention.

Riders will climb the 80-foot-tall structure to climb into one of three cycliders, standing upright in a blue, orange or green container.

Once inside, the rider gives the operator a thumbs up, at which time the bottom drops out from underneath them, sending them shooting through the water tubes and into the slide below.

It's a fast ride that drops riders at a rate of 20-25 ft.-per-second, and the entire ride lasts only about 5-to-6 seconds.

There is a fourth slide -- a purple one -- that is designed for those who don't want the bottom to drop out from underneath them, but beware! The purple slide is still a fast one, boasting the largest freefall of any of the slides.

Ihu's Breakaway Falls opens to the public on Friday morning at 10 a.m.
