Noodles & Co. security breach affects 5 central Florida locations

Credit, debit cards used Jan. 31- June 2 may be compromised

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Consumers who used a debit or credit card at certain Noodles & Co. locations should check with their banking or credit card companies.

There are five Central Florida locations affected: Lake Buena Vista, South Orange Avenue, Dr. Phillips, Fashion Square Mall and Lake Mary.

“On June 2, 2016, Noodles & Company discovered suspicious activity on its computer systems that indicated a potential compromise of guests’ debit and credit card data for some debit and credit cards used at certain Noodles & Company locations,” the release said.

The company announced Tuesday that some customers may have been included in the security incident where some of their information may have been compromised at some locations between Jan. 31 and June 2.

The company said credit or debit cards used at the affected locations are no long a risk.

“Noodles & Company takes the security of our guests’ information extremely seriously, and we apologize for the inconvenience this incident has caused our guests,” Kevin Reddy, chairman and chief executive officer of Noodles & Company, stated.
